Kathryn in Long-Sleeved Wedding Dress on her Winter Wedding at

  • Today we're harking to the crisp, magical times of December with this particular wedding, filled with festive tones of rich red and deep green. The couple desired to create a cozy, relaxed vibe, selecting free-flowing, whimsical displays of deep green foliage and cream flowers to have an opulent feel.

"We loved the thought of a winter wedding and my granny was married on 4 December, 50 plus years ago. We considered numerous London venues to keep the reception but in the end, we felt it might be more special during my parents' home."

"Given the time of year, I knew I was following a dress with sleeves, and also the simplistic type of the Adrienne won me over. I especially loved the jumpsuit-type look and also the gathering from the crepe on the top half and also the waistline, along with the keyhole back."

"I chose to alter the sleeves slightly, to create them as much as just above my wrists and add satin cuffs to complement the waistband (an indicator from my bridesmaid, Clara), which brought it all together. The Wedding Dress Shop did all of the alterations also it was a smooth process."

"I knew I wanted something quite delicate to soften the type of my dress which worked perfectly."

The bridesmaids wore velvet deep red bridesmaid dresses from Mango, and also the flower girl, Kathryn's two-year-old niece, wore a burgundy and pink floral dress from FeelTimes.

"My cousin's two-year-old son wore burgundy velvet bloomers, braces, and a matching shirt from Childrensalon."

As the bride to be walked down the aisle together with her father, 'Feels like Home' by Chantal Kreviazuk was played.

After being declared couple, the newly-weds drove from the church to her parent's house in the bride's father's sports vehicle, whilst your guests walked. Jon and Kathryn met at Nottingham University in January 2009, got engaged in August 2020, and married approximately a year later. They enrolled their loved ones and friends to obtain creativity and produce together this cozy, magical look.

The drinks reception was held within the garden using the reception inside a marquee from Inside Outside Marquees. The marquee table settings were warm and welcoming, thanks to the floral installations plus some sweet favors.

"We wanted a cozy, relaxed feel towards the day, especially for that drinks reception, and hoped we're able to achieve this at the home with the fires on, plenty of candles, and also the house full of our closest family and friends. Also, being winter, we didn’t be concerned about the weather with all of the elements from the day planned for indoors, although we did get just a little sunshine that was a bonus."

"If you need to arrange all parts from the wedding yourself (particularly if you are having it both at home and at a dry hire venue), it helps to possess a very clear picture of the items you want your day to be like as planning all from the elements is extremely time-consuming."
