EA’s pro football game got a major update ahead of this weekend’s NFL playoffs. NFL playoffs have begun, and to mark the occasion, Madden NFL 22 gets a major update with new content, including SpongeBob and TMNT gear. This also gives players more enthusiasm to buy MUT Coins. The NFL and Nickelodeon teamed up for Sunday’s Wild Card game between the 49ers and Cowboys, with a special broadcast on Nick, and the partnership extends to Madden 22.
EA Sports will bring back content from last year’s acquisition of SpongeBob in Madden’s The Yard mode and add new gear based on other Nick shows like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Rugrats. The new event is called Nickelodeon Slime Time, and the Nickelodeon-inspired venue features the likes of SpongeBob’s pineapp house and Krusty Krab.
Besides its partnership with Nickelodeon, Madden 22 now has three “flavor-related” events in the game with sports drink company Gatorade. The “Road to the Dunk” event within The Yard includes a new Gatorade-themed venue and Gatorade gear to unlock, inspired by Fruit Punch, Orange, and Lemon-Lime. Road to the Dunk will be open until February 15th.
Campus Legends events return to Madden’s Superstar KO mode, and now two high-profile teams: the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Ohio State Buckeyes. These teams can play in 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 matches, and the roster includes famous former players such as Joe Namath, Justin Fields and brothers Nick and Joey Bosa. Other college teams available in Superstar KO include LSU, USC, Clemson, University of Florida, University of Texas, and Michigan State. Players can also buy MUT 22 Coins if they also want to get better results in the game.
