A Country Barn Wedding in Northumberland

  • This may be the wedding of Lauren and John, who celebrated their marriage around 6 October 2018 at Northumberland, using their ceremony locked in the venue's wonderful wheelhouse, along with a laid-back, rustic barn reception.

"Stanton was recommended to us by a friend. Neither people had have you been, but after searching many venues and not feeling like every quite suited, I was so excited to go. I was quite amazed to find a place that was what I was looking for. The place has this type of magical energy; it's a business run by a local family who's just wonderful, making the place everything it's – hard-working, attitudes."

"It would be a simple type of boho dress, with lace and small details, including some floral, which I felt suited the venue perfectly."

With her dreamy dress, Lauren wore metallic sandals with embellished ankle straps, as well as in her hair, the favorite item she wore all day long – the prettiest ivory-hued dried flower crown.

The bridesmaids wore a variety of dresses, and I love the color combination of burgundy bridesmaid dresses, blush, and deep teal together. Also, how incredible did Lauren's mum try looking in that deep red velvet gown?!

Lauren and her bridesmaids carried glorious autumn-inspired dried bouquets, full of deep red roses, gypsophila, sea holly, and sprigs of wheat and meadow grass.

"I have been very keen on the idea of dried flowers for a long time, by chance discovered the company online. My younger sister got married annually before me, and I had suggested the organization. Her flowers were stunning and I knew I would be utilizing them for the wedding."

"Keeping them and loving them long afterward the wedding has transpired is a lovely little bonus of getting dried! I have my flower crown box framed and flowers inside a jug." Click

"We met through my sister! John caused my sister and she or he invited me along to some work quiz night, and John was there. We got along and instantly realized we shared the same views, morals, interests, and geeky feeling of humor."

"I went traveling for a short while, and John waited for me to return – quite keen to get where we left off, and take me on our first date. Life improved the more time we spent together, and we got engaged in the countryside in Bali, just us two around 1 October 2015. We married approximately 3 years after becoming engaged."

"My favorite part of the day was the ceremony, there have been so many emotions and thus much excitement – there's nothing that can compare with it!"

It's brilliant to become able to share the job of photographer today. We've featured her focus, and I particularly love her utilization of natural light and her instinctive narrative approach. It's also fair to express that Lauren and John were thrilled together with her ethos and work, too.

"We had never met Zoe before our wedding but I had seen her photography, and knew from it was just what I was looking for – she's a storyteller! Talking to Zoe and arranging the photography am easy and her friendly and warm nature made us feel relaxed and excited to possess our photography made by her."

"Leading up to the marriage, I saw glimpses of other work Zoe had done, and merely got increasingly more excited! On the day she was even more lovely, the photos have captured every moment just like it was around the day perfectly, and all sorts of my guests commented how great she was."
