    This product is the dried root of Sposhnikovia divaricate ( Turcz. ) Schischk of the Fang Feng. In spring and autumn, the roots of the plants without flower stems were excavated, the fibrous roots and sediment were removed, and they were sun-dried.

    The characteristics of the medicinal parts of Fangfeng:

    This product is long conical or long cylindrical, the lower part is tapered, some are slightly curved, 15~30cm long, 0.5~2cm diameter. The surface is gray-brown or tan, rough, with longitudinal wrinkles, many horizontally long lenticel-like protrusions and punctate fine root scars.

    The root head has obvious dense rings, and some rings have brown hairy leaf bases. The body is light, loose, easy to break, the section is uneven, the bark is brownish-yellow to brown, with cracks, and the wood is yellow.
